Brewdog Ranks at #2 in the UK

What started as a passion project between friends James Watt and Martin Dickie back in 2007, who were bored of the industrially brewed lagers and stuffy ales that dominated the UK market, has now turned into a lucrative business ranking at #2 in the UK. The phenomenal achievement of Brewdog in a span of 16 years has shown how the world is opening up to craft beer and the success story of Brewdog in creating brand awareness, in a market dominated by the big alcobev players. Having survived bans and a recession, Brewdog also launched Equity for Punks, selling their stocks to customers, allowing them to grow the business by 200% back in 2009. This led to the opening Brewdog bars in their hometown Aberdeen, followed by other cities like Glasgow and London. The Equity for Punks carries on as they grow their investor and investment pool, allowing them to have a much bigger brewery and Brewdog TV show. The highlight of their journey is of course a fake Brewdog bar in China back in 2013, if China decides to copy you, you have definitely arrived! The Brewdog expansion and dreams grow as they expand into Japan, Brazil and finally the USA, with a craft beer hotel and museum. Following through with creating various new beer flavours both alcoholic and non-alcohlic, Brewdog is also the only carbon negative brewery in the world. Going ahead with their expansion plans, Brewdog is now also available in India, in major states like Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab and soon to come to Goa.
